New Art! New Give-away!

Hullo!

Just a fairly quick fly-by sort of post for now.  I've done a new arty thing!  This is called "Post Industrial #1" (as I'm planning to do more than one), and it's done in ink:

Prints are already available on the web site (HERE) or, you could win a print on Facebook (HERE) - there are two opportunities to win: if you've liked my page and entered the give-away there's a chance your name will be drawn, and if you share the link to the give-away on your own page/profile and someone clicks on it and enters and THEY win - you get a print, too!

As for how many drawings will be in the series - I don't know yet.  At least 3, as I've already got a couple more ideas percolating amongst the grey matter.

So, how's the weather where you are?  It's absolutely gorgeous here, although it's a bit early for it to be so gorgeous.  It's only just turned Spring here, but feels like it's been Spring since mid-February!

New Art and FaerieCon!

I have some new art to share - both of these beauties are available on the web site.

"Companions" is an homage to pet lovers everywhere, and features representations of 3 pets I have known and loved - my childhood companion "Kitty", my recently deceased (well, 2006) cockatiel 'Mo', and "Bronte" a gorgeous Chocolate Lab who was part of the family of my in-laws in Yarm, UK.

"The Witching Hour" is a Samhain-themed painting in the Art Nouveau style with a bit of a Steampunk flavour.

In other news, I'm going to FaerieCon this weekend!!  I'm very excited, packed and ready to go (although I can't stop double-checking to make sure I haven't missed anything).  I am not exhibiting or vending, I'm only going for the fun of it and to meet up with friends who are vending.  I'm looking forward to meeting the Frouds, Charles Vess, and Amy Brown as I'm just a big ol' fangrrl!

My friend Brigid Ashwood, who is a featured artist at FaerieCon, has written a post about the event- if you need some encouragement to come on out ;) GeekMom: FaerieCon - The Sparkly Side of GeekCons

Steampunk Goodness!

Great Steampunky things are to be had this week. I shall tell you of some of them.

Firstly, Daniel Proulx, maker of outstanding jewellery, has created a video to tell the story of his work. It's lovely, and spooky, much like his jewellery (which can be purchased on Etsy)

Nextly, friend Brigid has updated her progress on the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Diptych - do swing by and have a look!

Lastly - if you are a fan of Steampunk, why haven't you ordered your I <3 Steampunk shirt yet?! Whatever are you waiting for?

Pardon? Oh, me? What am I up to? Well, I'm currently working on a Samhain/Hallowe'en painting (preview below), and have ideas for another (which I hope to find time to actually create before next month). Yes, the full colour Mistress of the Key is coming soon, and since you asked so nicely, yes, I will be offering the sepia-toned version as prints, too. There is an inked version available to license for tattoos at Enchanted Tattoo, and if you have it inked on you - I wanna see! :)
